Have you not been able to succeed at a project or a game? Many people face these same situations every day. People continually fail and can never seem to learn how to fix failure. There is no way to stop failure. When you look at the headlines in a newspaper or on television, such as the picture by failuremag (located to the right side of the blog), these headlines are repeated every day of our lives. Headlines with the words climate change or mistakes are continually in the headlines of newspapers or on television throughout the world. Sometimes continual failure will even lead to the bad person accomplishing what they want.
In the movie Se7en (trailer located on the left side of the blog), two detectives, William Somerset and David Mills, hunt for a murderer who is killing people because they have one of the seven deadly sins. They are unable to stop this person from killing people. Once they caught the murderer, the murderer revealed that he had killed Detective David Mills wife. The detective, David Mills, heard about this and shot the murderer, who wanted to be killed because the murderer was guilty of envy, which is one of the seven deadly sins. The continual failure of the detectives allowed the murderer to be given what the murderer wanted. This blog shows the continual failure in our society and how society handles continual failure. Usually, society does not improve from failure, instead more failure arises. How has continual failure affected society?
Continual failure has, in my point of view, softened society to the point where, "it's ok" it happens to everyone. This leads to the idea that failing over and over again may just be a style of life.
ReplyDeleteWe see failure occur over and over again consistently in our modern society. The obesity rate is steadily growing larger.. both figuratively and literally. We are all aware that being overweight can lead to huge health problems and are often eventually fatal. Yet, fast food chains are at an all time high. I see parents bringing in their young children to Arby's all the time and letting them order the largest and most fattening items on the menu when I know grown men who couldn't even finish them. Soceity acts as an enabler to things it knows are awful.
ReplyDeleteEven though people may continuously fail, it may be how they learn. People learn through the mistakes they have made, and everytime someone fails, they are able to learn something new.
